What Is BuilderPad?
BuilderPad is an all-in-one construction management platform built specifically for custom home builders and remodelers. Its captured features include Gantt-and-calendar scheduling with auto-notify for subs and clients, client-facing selection rooms with allowance tracking, a client portal, jobsite documentation (daily logs, photo feeds, punch lists), change orders drafted by AI, POs and work orders that sync to QuickBooks automatically, sub and vendor billing, customer invoices tied to draw schedules, and a mobile app for iOS and Android. It positions itself around a deep QuickBooks integration and AI-assisted financial workflows. Pricing starts at $199/month, billed monthly.
We have no third-party review data for BuilderPad, so this guide focuses on what its alternatives offer in their own captured feature sets and pricing — and where each one fits differently.
The Alternatives at a Glance
1. JobTread
What it does: JobTread bills itself as all-in-one construction management software covering the full job lifecycle — sales and estimating through project management through job finances. Captured features include a construction CRM, lead management, contracts and eSignatures, a cost catalog, bid requests, tasks and scheduling, daily logs, time tracking, files/photos/videos, sub and vendor portals, change orders, job costing, POs and work orders, sub and vendor billing, customer invoices, AIA payment applications, reporting and dashboards, customer portals, selections and allowances, homeowner financing, online payment collection, an AI connector, and integrations with QuickBooks Online, Home Depot, and Acorn Finance. It also lists workflows as a newer feature. The platform explicitly names home builders, remodelers, pool builders, outdoor living, roofers, specialty contractors, commercial contractors, and franchises as supported audiences.
Pricing: $199/month (billed monthly) as a base, plus $20/month per internal user (billed monthly).
Friction to note: We only sampled one third-party review for JobTread — too few to surface a meaningful complaint signal — so treat this as no usable review data.
2. Projul
What it does: Projul positions itself as a project and crew management platform used by 5,000+ contractors. Captured categories and features include a construction CRM with lead pipeline, web capture forms, automated payment reminders, estimating with assemblies and templates, digital signatures, invoicing, progress billing, service invoicing, payment processing (cards, ACH, and checks), selections, Gantt charts, linear project timelines, drag-and-drop crew scheduling with schedule-conflict detection, purchase orders, job costing and budgeting, and real-time reporting. It names a wide range of trade types — from general and commercial contractors to roofing, HVAC, plumbing, pool, solar, and many more — as well as home builders and remodeling and restoration contractors.
Pricing: $4,788/year, billed annually — described as flat with no per-user fees.
No third-party review data is available for Projul.
3. Contractor+
What it does: Our feature capture for Contractor+ came back incomplete — the features page returned a 404-style result, so we don’t have captured feature detail to describe what the product does. What we do have is a pricing range across four tiers.
Pricing: Plans are priced at $0, $29, $58, and $500 — all billed annually.
We have no third-party review data for Contractor+, and because we couldn’t capture its features, we’d recommend going directly to their site to evaluate capabilities before drawing comparisons.
4. Houzz Pro
What it does: Houzz Pro positions itself as an all-in-one platform for construction and design professionals, combining project management and marketing tools. Captured feature categories include 3D floor plans, selections, estimates, takeoffs, and schedule. It explicitly markets to contractors and design pros and describes itself as requiring no downloads.
Pricing: Pricing requires contacting their sales team — Houzz Pro’s dedicated pricing page was returning a 404 as of our capture, and no static plan pricing was published. Check their site directly for current figures.
Friction to note: Third-party reviews we scanned flagged recurring themes around customer support, invoicing and payments, price/value, the mobile app, and features and functionality.
5. Buildertrend
What it does: We weren’t able to capture Buildertrend’s features this round — their features page returned no extractable content. Buildertrend is a well-known name in construction software and is worth evaluating directly, but we can only tell you what the fact sheet confirms: it’s a named-tier platform with pricing that requires a sales conversation.
Pricing: Pricing requires contacting their sales team — named tiers exist but no per-plan price is published.
Friction to note: Third-party reviews flagged recurring themes around invoicing and payments, price/value, scheduling and dispatch, customer support, and the mobile app.

‘Consider [Alt] If…’ Guidance
Consider JobTread if you want a comparable starting price to BuilderPad but need broader audience coverage — JobTread explicitly serves commercial contractors, franchises, and trade partners alongside the residential/remodeling builders BuilderPad targets, and it includes features like AIA payment applications, time tracking, and bid requests that don’t appear in BuilderPad’s captured feature set. The per-user fee does mean costs scale with team size, so run the math for your headcount.
Consider Projul if you want a flat annual fee with no per-user charges and your business spans a wide range of trade types. The $4,788/year flat structure could be attractive for growing teams where per-seat costs would otherwise add up, and Projul’s captured features — including drag-and-drop crew scheduling with conflict detection, linear project timelines, and service invoicing — are worth comparing against what you currently use in BuilderPad.
Consider Contractor+ only after visiting their site directly, since our feature capture came back empty. The pricing range — from $0 to $500/year — suggests options well below what BuilderPad, JobTread, or Projul charge, which may appeal to solo operators or very small shops, but we can’t ground that in confirmed features.
Consider Houzz Pro if the combination of project management and marketing tools under one platform matters to your business, and you want 3D floor plans, selections, takeoffs, and estimates in a single tool aimed at both contractors and design pros. Just go in with pointed questions about support and invoicing, since those are the themes that surfaced most in the reviews we scanned — and get a clear picture of current pricing on their site since nothing was published at capture time.
Consider Buildertrend as a direct evaluation rather than a comparison — we couldn’t pull its feature data this round, so we can’t tell you how it lines up against BuilderPad on specifics. It’s a significant enough platform that it belongs on your demo list; just factor in that pricing is sales-quoted and reviewers have flagged friction with invoicing, scheduling, and support before you commit.
